Hey, team, I'm just getting this in here to keep a record. Build weight assignment in brand portal photos for Flower, Vape, Extract - that then reflects on Retail Menus Issue/Context: Retailers can only assign weights for our standardized categories (Flower, Vape, Extracts) through the retail dashboard. This is a lot of work for our retail partners and also prevents them from the ease of utilizing our Jane Catalog. Adoption is low here. TS receives cases with some frequency; an example recently was about only carrying 7g flower from Cresco, but we are showing 1g, 3.5g, 7g, 14g, and 28g packaging on the card. *On the Brand side, our current suggestion is to arrange the images in a carousel from smallest to largest. Outside of our VIMSOs listed below, we also get this ask from non-vertical brands. They have different packaging and sometimes even different packaging types by weight. Think Glass Jar 3.5g and Mylar bag 7g. Here is a list of our VIMSOs giving this feedback. Glass House Group is our most recent as of today. GTI Vireo Verano Glass House Group Cannabist *Note that Cannabist is having to use a workaround with their Roots build. Below is a screenshot of a 1g vape for sale, but it shows a 0.5g photo since that is how they have set up their own brands in the portal. This is because any of their strains can come in both standard weights for vapes and the carousel, which is always set to show .5g first Screenshot 2024-03-11 at 5.01.36 PM.png Here are the two main pros I'm taking away from the feedback of our partners above. Patients and consumers would be more clear, as the images would only reflect the weights offered, leading to a more accurate and convenient shopping experience. Menu diversity. Our Retailers' menus would look more diverse. If we are looking at only &Shine Flower on a menu at GTI, all we see are the 3.5g jars. If some of those strains only had 7g and 14g in stock, we would see a mixture of images, not making Flower, Vape, and Concentrate packaging redundant.
